Native Pathways, (NaPs) emerged around 1995, fully opening the company’s doors in 2001. NaPs is based in central New Mexico Laguna Pueblo, located 45 miles from Albuquerque.

Dr. Shelly Valdez, President of NaPs is a member of Pueblo at Laguna Tribe. Shelly’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, Master of Arts in Bilingual Education, and Ph.D. in Multicultural Teacher Education focusing on research in the area of Science Education.
